Behind the Scenes of the World's Greatest Champagne Houses

Once a year, Champagne Connection conducts an exclusive, highly educational tour of the Champagne region — visiting a combination of the most prestigious champagne houses and the finest family-run grower producers.

You will go behind the scenes, taste extraordinary champagnes, dine at wonderful restaurants and wineries, and experience the magic of Champagne with an intimacy that simply cannot be found on a larger tour.

Guests are accommodated in excellent hotels throughout the tour. Included lunches and dinners are matched with champagnes at every course.

Expert Guidance

Ian Leamon has worked two champagne vintages — at Veuve Clicquot in 1985 and Joseph Loriot-Pagel in 2007 — and has visited Champagne every year since 2000. His relationships with these houses open doors that remain closed to others.

Ian Leamon — Winemaker, Importer, Champagne Insider

Ian Leamon's love of champagne began in December 1978 with a bottle of Laurent Perrier NV. What followed was a lifelong journey into one of the world's most complex and captivating wine regions.

Ian worked the 1985 vintage at Veuve Clicquot in the village of Bouzy — an experience that forged deep relationships with the region and its people. He returned to work a second vintage in 2007 with the Loriot family at Joseph Loriot-Pagel in Festigny.

As founder of Chateau Leamon in Bendigo and Champagne Connection, Ian brings a winemaker's eye and an insider's access to every tour. He has visited Champagne on an annual basis since 2000.

Ian and Karen had planned meticulously and everything fell into place seamlessly — we were feted, champagned, dined, educated and given an insider's look at champagne which very few would be privileged to have. — Steve Langford, Tour Participant
